My family is living the hard right now. It is hard to have faith in God during these times. We question why. We wish for a different hard road because we think it would be easier. We wonder if God really is sovereign; He is.
Yet, in the mist of living the hard there is encouraging reprieves. There are coffee dates with those who have lived out the hard road. There are walks with those who are going through the hard just like you. And you come away feeling refreshed. You are encouraged and emboldened to still pray through. It is a dichotomy which I cannot explain outside of God’s family. You cry together. You pray together. You give each other hope in the Lord. You leave a hard conversation, a tearful conversion, with joy, with hope, and love.
This is what the church looks like. But you have to be willing to be vulnerable. You have to be willing to let others feel as well. You have to be willing to get messy. Oh but what beauty comes from those ashes!
Live out the hard. Live out the hard with your sisters in Christ. Blessings may be but one sip of coffee away.
Blessed be the God and Father of out Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NASB
